South Jamaica Reads
South Jamaica Reads
ABOUT US
We are a collaboration of 11 organizations working together in East New York, East Harlem, and South Jamaica to enhance literacy culture and improve outcomes for the children of our communities. We offer children and families free early literacy resources in schools, homes, libraries, daycares, pediatric offices, and local stores and parks throughout the neighborhood.
Our lofty goal is to ensure that every child in New York City develops the skills needed to be successful in school by 5th grade. To achieve this goal requires a village. Whether you are a family member, a local business, or just share our passion for the equitable opportunities of our children, please join our movement.
